For those of you on the East Coast, look at this image and weep! Spring is oh so here in San Francisco. Of course it is still the rainy season, which explains the rain pants that Annabelle is wearing as she had been outside since way before the Sun came up this morning. When it was still raining.

Annabelle was nice enough to let me work at Star Route Farm's vegetable stand during my pregnancy. Towards the end, when I was bigger than any apartment I had ever lived in here in San Francisco, my "work" entailed taking money from customers, eating gingerbread cupcakes and greasy bits of meat from the enormous Prather Ranch grill that was set up at the side of the farmers' market. Not a bad day's work, if putting on ten or twenty pounds is not a problem for you.

Austin hung out with Annabelle for a little while and I picked up some green garlic and lettuce mix. Then it started to rain again and I pretty much ran home, not wanting today to be the first time I get caught out in the elements with Austin. I would have totally made it if I hadn't left my keys on the desk in the bedroom. David was nice enough to lend me his after I found him at his study spot which, is a really boring cafe, which just by that description you know it is not Cafe Trieste.
