Whew, what a long day. Austin and I walked (that's right, WALKED) all the way down to the 4th Street Whole Foods Market. On Saturdays, the bus is too crowded to take a stroller so I put on my sneakers and some clean socks and headed over there.

Austin prefers the breezy outdoor atmosphere of the Ferry Farmers' Market to the fluorescent hell of the modern grocery store but we had more on our agenda than just fruits and vegetables. And diapers. I need to get a new job and conveniently enough, Whole Foods is looking for a Cheesemonger. Conveniently enough, I am able to masquerade as a cheesemonger, so I think this may work out.

After handing over my resume, which was pretty anti-climatic after walking what felt like 15 miles, singing the alphabet song almost the whole way; We went to Yerba Buena Gardens and played in the very wet grass. At first I tried to keep Austin off the ground, but then I thought, if you can't sit in the wet grass when you are a small child, when can you? So I let him crawl around, much to the consternation of the other parents, whose children immediately wanted to get down on the soggy earth.

Dirty children are happy children. I'm glad we have a bathtub.
