Can I just say how nice it is to have friends? Last night when I got home from the Cheese-mines, there was a package waiting for me from my friend Sarah (Austin's Fairy Godmother). Historically we ignore each other's birthday, both of which are in April. We can get away with ignoring each other's birthday because we are such good friends that small gestures of birthday cards and larger gestures of cash or gifts just don't begin to convey how important we are to each other. But I think Sarah knew I needed a whole bunch of new socks and chocolate so she didn't think twice before sending me some.

Austin was asleep last night when I got home, which was just as well because I had some chocolate to eat and some socks to try on. But this morning we woke up early and played with toys and counted to "3" and went to Cafe Trieste for coffee and steamed milk. Austin loves foamy steamed milk, so much so that I often have trouble getting him to drink un-frothed milk at home. We have created a milk snob, it seems, which is fitting as the Choogler's Father is a coffee and tea snob.

Tomorrow is my day off and I might just pack the whole family up and go to Arizmendi for some pizza. Hopefully we will make it up the little hill behind Arizmendi to see Denton and his mom who broke her ankle! We will not, under any circumatances make her walk down the hill, I promise.

Judging by this picture, you might get the idea that Austin could start walking on his own at any minute, if only he felt like it. He just needs motivation. I need to start motivating myself now to get ready for work, but not before I go and try to figure out just what is creating that yucky smell in the living room.
