Denton and his mom visited the Choogler and his parents today and suffice it to say, we all had a good time. We had such a good time I forgot to ask Jen about her broken ankle and where she gets all those good sunhats, for herself. I am all too familiar with the "Flaphappy" hat that Denton was sporting, Austin owns a few of them himself. He had borrowed one of Denton's for this picture. No, they are not really flattering but they do cover the whole head which in the end, is really what the modern mother is looking for.

Denton is such a party animal. He insisted that David, Austin and I join his family (and some other friends) for dinner at a new Indian Restaurant that just opened up in the West Portal Neighborhood of our little town...um, which is San Francisco. By the time we left, Austin had only one sock on and no pants. He was stomping Sumo-style on a pile of rice that he had spilled on the floor, one grain at a time as he tried to stuff fistfulls of it into his mouth. David and I had very quickly lost all our silverware and were sharing some sort of delicate looking dessert spoon to eat all the very expertly created Indian Foods. Sitting sat at the head of the table and surveying the scene, Denton occasionally let out a high pitched squeal of approval that probably startled any dolphins swimming near the North Pacific Coast. Of California.

In other news, David is going to start working at the farmer's market on Saturday mornings for Julia and Andy, who own Mariquita Farm. Julia promised that she would remind David to wear a hat. I would like to take this opportunity to myself remind my husband of over five years (can you believe it!!!!) to wear some sort of head protection. David, please, please remember to wear a hat.
