Yes, yet another park picture. That park is just so photogenic and our living space can be kind of dark, being on the first floor of a three story building, surrounded by lots of other three story buildings. Besides, now that it is not raining as much I intend to get Austin outside as much as possible until the rain starts again.

That park was a goldmine to Austin yesterday. After showing off his new walking skills at Cafe Trieste, we went over to the park which had just been freshly mowed. Because of the mowing, there were so many tiny, small, verging on the gross things for Austin to pick up and attempt to put in his mouth. Fortunately the espresso at Trieste was very strong that morning and I was able to tap into the supernatural speed that all mothers have deep down inside of them and stop him from eating the broken pine cones, grass and chewed up plastic bags.

Austin's greatest moment was when he walked/stumbled in front of a group of about ten elderly Chinese women congregated around a bench. He walked, clapped and waved his little diapered butt off, enjoying all that attention. Need I even have to say he cried when it was time to go home, where there was only an audience of one (unless you include the cats) to encourage his shinanagins? No, I think you all already know it.

Some light reading about Washington Square Park.
