A story as heard by Austin while lying in his bed and trying to fall asleep.

Ahem....

There once was a T. Rex who had very very sharp claws. He liked to practice slashing at trees while walking through the forest. One day he was walking along and he saw a very big tree. So he slashed at it. Wouldn't you know that his big claw got stuck in the bark of this gigantic tree!

At first T. Rex was angry and he roared at the tree. Then he got sad and scared so he cried. As it would happen just at this moment along came a stegosaurus. At first the Stegosaurus thought that he would try and sneak around the T. Rex because the Stegosaurus did not want to get eaten. But then he heard that big old dinosaur crying and he felt bad. So he walked up to the T. Rex and asked him what was wrong.

The T.Rex told him that his claw was stuck in the tree bark and he could not get it out. The Stegosaurus said that if the T. Rex could promise not to eat him, then the Stegosaurus would help him get his claw out. Of course T. Rex said okay.

So Stegosaurus knocked down the big tree with his stong tail and then sat on the fallen log. T. Rex was then able to pull his claw out of the tree. He forgot for a moment that he had promised his new friend that he would not eat him but then he remembered. T. Rex said thank you and went up the mountain to his home.

His mother was waiting there with some fresh meat for dinner. When she had heard about the terrible time her son had had that day, she cuddled him in their dinosaur nest until he fell asleep.
